Printable Victorian Template (Illustrated Header): Waiting in the Parlour, 1896

If pain must come, may it come quickly.
Because I have a life to live, and I need to live it in the best way possible.
If he has to make a choice, may he make it now.
Then I will either wait for him or forget him.
Paulo Coelho, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.
Fulton J. Sheen

Victorian illustration of a lady waiting on a chair in a parlour from 1896.Do you think it may have been in a grand parlour such as this one?

Vintage Illustrated Template: Victorian Ladies at a Flower Festival 1

Celebrate who you are in your deepest heart.
Love yourself and the world will love you.
Amy Leigh Mercree

The dining room has been transformed into a fairy garden this evening.
Flowers are strewn across the long table ― magnolias, anemones, and roses ―
paired with hydrangea-and-peony centerpieces.
Long taper candles flicker over the display, complemented by the remaining sunlight.
A feast sprawls out from one end of the table to the other,
a medley of some of my favorites ― crab cioppino with bright tomatoes and red wine,
garlic bread flecked with parsley, linguine and clams swimming in broth,
seared abalone presented in its opalescent shell, fresh oysters on a bed of ice.
Kiana Krystle, Dance of the Starlit Sea

Free Vintage Illustrated Templates: Edwardian Lady Travelers Journal Pages (Set 2)

Why do you go away?
So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.
Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

Two pre-made templates featuring antique illustrations of Edwardian lady travelers from my personal collection of La Mode Illustrée. The first template shows a lady in a dress of emerald green trimmed with wide bands that feature sparkling stars. The second template shows two ladies in heavy jackets and skirts that are stylish yet sturdy enough to withstand travel on dusty roads. These templates can be used as travel journal cards, invitation cards or other general announcements.

You can download the high-resolution 11" x 8.5" @ 300 ppi JPEGs here (lady in green) and here (ladies in monochrome).

Free Vintage Illustrated Template: Rain Pictures with Victorian Lady Sheltering under a Tree

The richness of the rain made me feel safe and protected;
I have always considered the rain to be healing—a blanket—the comfort of a friend.
Without at least some rain in any given day,
or at least a cloud or two on the horizon,
I feel overwhelmed by the information of sunlight
and yearn for the vital, muffling gift of falling water.
Douglas Coupland, Life After God

A pre-made template featuring an antique illustration of a young Victorian lady waiting with her umbrella under a tree for the rain to pass. You can use this as a background for your creative collage, junk journal or graphic design projects with a nature or outdoor theme.

You can download the high-resolution 11" x 8.5" @ 300 ppi JPEG without a watermark here.
